 As part of CHRMS' mission to provide the membership with topical risk management-related information, the fourth segment of the webinar lecture series for 2011-2012 will be presented on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

At CHRMS' Annual Meeting in April 2012, Anne Barrett and Stacy Ries from Rush Copley Medical Center discussed some examples of how social media has affected their facility and how they managed it.  Due to the continuing requests for more guidance in this emerging area of liability and risk, CHRMS is pleased to provide additional education for our members on this continually evolving topic.  In this webinar, Debra Davidson will give a broad, "bird's eye" overview of how social media issues as they relate to healthcare facilities, discussing:

1) Benefits and potential risk exposures associated with social media and the internet;
2) HIPAA privacy issues specifically related to electronic media; and
3) How you can apply risk management strategies for reducing liability associated with electronic media.
